name: Flicker
pronounciation: like it's spelt
alias: Flicker
age: 3
gender: Female
breed: German Shorthaired Pointer
appearance: Flicker is a white color with a few light brown colored patches on her face including one spot on the top of her head, her ears are covered in light brown spots as well, giving her quite an interesting appearance that suits her perfectly because it just makes her even more different from other dogs. Her eyes are a brown color that matches that of the brown spots as well except that they have more of a yellower tinge to them than the spots do. She is quite a fit dog that's well muscled, and she is built in quite a lean way that gives her good agility most of the time even if she's not as fast as a greyhound or some other breeds might be, though she is still pretty fast. After all, her breed are meant for hunting. She's still a great hunter despite her disability.
personality: Flicker is quite an interesting character, because she is deaf she is under the impression that she also cannot talk or make sounds.. because of not being able to hear what she's saying. She has several ways to communicate what she wants to say tough, making her expression usually quite comical at times because of her over expressiveness. She falls for dogs easily, and then she can become quite the lovesick puppy, following them around and just generally wanting them to approve of her all the time.. She's incapable of deceiving the one she falls for as well so there's no question that she will be loyal. She's also one of those dogs that seeks someone to lead the way for her, she'd more a follower and when she's left to lead herself she tends to become overwhelmed. She can panic too quite often, though not overly so and she calms down quickly. She's a very very intelligent dog though, and very inquisitive as well. She loves to learn new things and she has many opinions which she can't share with others, which really is a pity because they are some very good opinions and ideas.
history: A testing station is an exciting place to live, there is always something interesting to see and sometimes do. Flicker used to be the dog of a person working on one of these a testing stations where they tested all sorts of things for the government. Flicker loved to explore around the place and to take a closer look at what they were testing too sometimes. one day they tested out a bomb or something like that anyway and she got too close before any of the humans noticed and managed to stop her, the explosion was what caused her to go deaf. There's no place for a dog who can't hear and obey commands on a testing station so after she went deaf her human decided that he just couldn't take care of her because he didn't have the time to teach her visual commands and she would just get more hurt on the station where he also lived. No one else would take her because they didn't want to have to deal with her so he sent her to the pound where he told them to just put her down but she managed to escape from there and run off.
