Lumina Take a look at my body Look at my hands There's so much here that I don't understand Your face say these promises Whispered like prayers
The cars went by as normal. The clouds passed in the sky as normal. The birds even sang as normal today. But something in the alley down on the north side of town wasn`t normal. There was a tied up dog laying down in the shadows. Most would think her dead. But if they looked closely, they`d see her side rise and fall as she sleeps. But the white German Shepherd sleep in fear of her master, and still remains on allert as she dozes. Opening her eyes as the sound of an almost unnoticable door suddenly opens, she sits bolt upright and growls at the figure exiting the building. She oulls her lips back to reveal a set of fangs and teeth that are ready for the defending of herself. "Lumina! Stop that at once, you stupid animal!" bellows the human, his hand drawing back as though he`s ready to grab something behind him. Sure enough, he draws out a short horse whip. Lashing it foreward, the end connects to the dogs face and leaves it wimpering in pain. The man then turns and goes back inside.
I don't need them Because I've been treated so wrong I've been treated so long As if I'm becoming untouchable Well content loves the silence
Lumina soon lies back down, and curls up in a ball. The strike of the whip had given her a cut along her muzzle, and now the small cut was starting to leak blood. She looks toward the street, wishing to run down the alley and be free. She turns her head to the rope attatched to the wall, and rises again to her paws. "Damn rope. How can it be this strong?" she growls, glaring at the thickly-woven strands. Opening her mouth, she bites down on the rope, only to find it enlaced around a metal chain. "So that`s it! The man got a new rope!" she thought, withdrawing her head and pricking her ears. Turning back around to watch the street, she growls quietly to herself and tries to ignore the jolting fear each time she hears the humans inside take a step near the door.
It thrives in the dark With fine winding tendrils That strangle the heart They say that promises sweeten the blow But I don't need them, no

I GET MY LOVIN' ON THE RUNCUS IM A PICKER, IM A GRINNER, IM A LOVER & IM A SINNER* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * DAMN was today beautiful! The sun was high, not a grey cloud in view, and for once in my life since the club I was sane. For once, I felt like I could fly. That's love baby. Pure love, getting me higher and higher until maybe I could sour through a cloud. Wouldn't that be awesome? What a rush. To fly through a bright, white, puffy cloud.
And I blamed it all on a beautiful lil' sheila I called Nokama. God, was she great. She made everything hurt, and yet it felt so good. It made me run, and man did I run fast. Why did I run? Cus, well... Hell, cus I could. We parted after a few days, only to get some air before our lil' buggers came along. I couldn't wait. My own lil' Lucifer and Kamas running around. It just filled me up more, like a bubble that just kept getting bigger.
Down the street, I pushed faster, my destination unknown, and really I didn't care where I went. As long as I got there, and found Kama waiting for me. I wanted to be back with her again, just to hear her voice and feel her nuzzle me so sweetly, like she did when we first met.
Pups! My own, too! How great that- I stopped, a strong smell hitting me like a slap in the face. I blinked, tensing. There was an alley a few feet ahead. I inched towards it, knowing a dog, but not knowing what kind. At this point, the high was still blurring my sences. I could only hope a friendly dog.
I came to the mouth of the alley, to find a mound of white fur, chained or roped-no... both- to a wall. I tilted my head, raising my tail and wagging it a little. "Aye-er... Sheila?" I spoke, stepping into the alley carefully and then relaxing. She couldn't fight me anyways in that condition, and honestly I was never afraid of a fight. Hell, I killed every mutt in that damned place I wasn't afraid a shepherd dog at this point. "Ya wake up now, ya'hear?" I said, bowing my head and sniffing from a foot or so away. "Where yer humans? Why'd they chain ya to a wall?" I tilted my head again. She didn't say much.

I don't need them I've been treated so wrong I've been treated so long As if I'm becoming untouchable I'm the slow dying flower
Lumina opens her eyes and sees the other. Raising her head, she looks at the other dog. "They`re inside. And I don`t know why. I guess they just think I need to be treated this way." she says, ears turning slightly to catch the souds coming from the other side of the door. "I`m Lumina. Who`re you?" she asks, her voice kind. Lifting her muzzle to the sky, she watches a bird fly overhead and follows it with her eyes untill the wall blocks her vision.
In the frost killing hour Sweet turning sour and untouchable Oh, I need the darkness The sweetness The sadness
As she awaits a response from the visitor, she stares back at the door again. After a few minutes of listening, she rises to her paws again and fluffs up her fur. She pulls back her lips in a snarl, and lets a rumbling growl tear from her throat. Yet it isn`t directed at the other, but at the door again. She shifts her gaze from the door only for a moment to look at the visitor. "Quick! Hide!" she growls, urgency in her tone. She flicks her tail at a dumpster a couple feet away from where she`s standing, then focuses right back at the door. Slowly it opens and there stands the man again, a bowl in one hand and a glass bottle in the other.
The weakness Oh, I need this I need a lullaby Oh, I need this I'm the slow dying flower
The neck of the bottle is held tightly in his hand as he glares angrily down at Lumina. She raises her fur up more, growling louder as she does so. "You stupid dog! Quit that growling before I bash your head in!" he yells, though she only continues to growl. He sits down the bottle, then picks it up again like a club. He chucks it at Lumina, but she just barely dodges it. As it hits the wall, a small shower of glass accompanies the crash. Next, he tosses the bowl out into the alley. Only this time he tosses it a bit gentler, but still with force. When it skids to a stop, Lumina carefully makes her way over to it. "It`s safe now." she calls, sniffing the food disdainfully before turning away from it.

I GET MY LOVIN' ON THE RUNCUS IM A PICKER, IM A GRINNER, IM A LOVER & IM A SINNER* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * She actually was quite nice. She didn't growl at me, infact she acted rather smooth, no fear or anything. I liked this about her. She was a good soul. Not dateable, my kind of girl, but like someone I could get as a good friend. She didn't flinch at me or anything, she just simply told me her name, and I grinned.
"'Ello Lumina. My names Lucifer, easier as Lucy." I chuckled alittle, completely missing what she had said before hand. I was caught be surprise when she suddenly growled, looking towards the door. I followed her eyes, and I heard the noise. I shook my head, hearing her warning and barely taking it. I walked halfway out the alley, but stopped and turned to watch. It was chaos. I didn't like how he treated her.
He shouldn't get away with that.
Instinct, and my brute force side kicked in. He needed to pay. After he tossed the food at her, I bared my fangs, suddenly crossing the distance that seperated me and the human with barely a stride. I pushed off the ground, lunging at him and catching his face in my mouth. A loud, ripping sound came from under my vision, and a deafening scream. I bit down, snarling in reply and then dropping from him, blood coming from his face. He turned suddenly, and disappeared behind the door.
I turned to Lumina, lunging at her but instead grabbing the chain. I yanked it back, knowing it might have hurt her. I grimaced, heaering more people coming out, so I bit harder, yanking it with as much pressure and force my body could muster. And really, for my pedigree and history in training, it was easy.
I fell back to a satisfying snap, the chain and rope breaking in half. I jumped at her, laughing suddenly as the humans came out. I pushed her hard, almost a headbutt. "GO!"

Lumina grins as the chain and rope are broken and jumps to her paws. As Lucifer pushes her, she takes off down the alley. She laughs when the humans start calling her back, and only turns her head around a little bit, just enough for her to show one last snarl to the man before pushing up her speed and turning the corner. The strands of rope start unraveling from the chain as she runs and, after running a few more minutes, the chain is almost compleatly free of all rope strands. Lifting her head to watch the shy as she runs, Lumina smiles to herself and raises her head a bit higher. OOC: Phail. But I`ll make up for it in my next post.

I GET MY LOVIN' ON THE RUNCUS IM A PICKER, IM A GRINNER, IM A LOVER & IM A SINNER* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I grinned darkly, speeding after her and howling as best I could, the humans chasing after. I whipped around the corner, my bottom half slipping out from under me. I felt a human grab my tail, and I yanked against him, pulling him to the ground and diving out from under him. I laughed, watching Lumina running off. I started running again, glancing back at the humans that now stopped running after us.
I grinned defiantly, pushing myself faster so I could catch up to her. Damn, she was fast. I lunged foreward to gain more distance towards her, starting to pant heavily. "Aye sheila slow down!!" I barked, but only moved faster.
