Oh, this is an ugly mutt.. He's got the looks of a very successful and sought after model. He's build for speed! Stocky body, thick legs. He can never get enough air, his lungs are big and his chest deeply set. His looks are very very dull.. he's got a pattern of black over top of white along his body and on his head and neck making him nice to look at.
on the inside
Arktos is extremely intellectual, he doesn't know much about anything that doesn't involve having a home and a family. But what more is there to know for a dog like him? Nothing.. just a whole world of facts and knowledge. Decisive is his middle name! He takes forever to make up his mind and never knows which way to go when confronted with choices. This dog is as smart as smart can get, everything he knows and believes are backward.. good is bad and bad is good. But that's the way things should be, isn't it? Arktos is also very very well informed.. no one ever tells this son of a bitch anything that he needs to or might want to know. He is an extremely lucky dog, nothing good ever happens to him and absolutely nothing goes his way or as planned either. But that's just the way things go.
yes, it really happened
Year and years ago.. well.. only three years.. HE was born! No, not Jesus.. Arktos.. Yes. The mutt was born, an only puppy, tiny and bedraggled from the moment he left his mother. Okay, well maybe not quite. He only knew his mother for a short time.. a few weeks. Then he was snatched away from her violently. Picked up by the neck and put into a blanketed carry cage. It was TERRIBLE! The ride to his horrible new home was smooth, the human trying to keep him as comfortable as possible. His new owners were abusive, they patted him gently and scratched his stomach and behind his ears. They left him malnourished, only leaving out a big brown permanently filled with food and another with clean water. He was very miserable... always wagging his tail and smiling at the people who took care of him. One day he got very very lucky though, there was a fire and everything burned down, his owners were hospitalized and he was left to survive on his own. This made him ecstatic, he didn't get food or attention just given to him now, he had nothing. That all happened a lifetime ago, about two weeks to be exact. He knows absolutely everything there is to know about being a stray, he's only been one for a week or so. He's befriended.. there's no one at all around him or that he knows. He is very bloated, there's nothing at all inside of his stomach. This mutt of a dog is right at home now, comfortable in the situation that he has been placed in caringly by the world, lost and afraid in a place he's never been. Things are going fantastically!
