Yet, again, it was so faint, they might have missed it altogether. The paws belongued to a lithe, tall and willowy male, who moved with the grace and elegance his breed was reputed for. The hunter's paws placed themselves with care in amongst the garbage which littered the floor, earth coloured muzzle wrinkled in disgust to the overpowering stench. His acute senses were pricked for anything moving in that alley. Nothing was there except the mouse rustling over a packet of crips and the traffic roaring on the main road.
His willowy sprinter's figure continued forward, long, narrow pillars continuing their back and forth motion. He finally exited the alley, onto the pavement of the main road. Cars whizzed by, Aleksey accelerating to a light gallop. One of the miriads of humans, holding a pit bull on the leash. " Hey, greyhound! Your mother has fleas!" came the pit bull's greeting. The hunter simply smirked and continued his way. The pit bull's face soured, and he began tugging on his chain. The human seemed to interpret this as wanting to go meet him, and let him loose. The short pet ran toward him, lunging at his rump. But Alek was faster.
He waited until the last second to dart forward, as the pit bull's jaws snapped into nothingness. He ran, a medium, loping run, his tail high up like a brown and white flag. He was clearly playing with the angry pit, keeping almost lunge reach in front before darting forward slightly. The pit growled with rage. A smirk was painted onto the hunter's muzzle, he was greatly enjoying himself. As the pit started to get tired, the hunter suddenly turned on him. It became hunter, hunted very quickly. He lunged at the pit's side, sinking his teeth in the muscled flesh. The pit yelped in pain and tried to bite back, but Alek had jumped back.
The short pet, panting heavily, ran as Alek harrassed him by biting his rump, his side, his neck. He wasn't going to kill him, just teach him a lesson. The pit ran as fast as his short legs would carry him. Alek pulled up beside him easily, reaching his powerful jaws over to grip his neck. His powerful neck muscles pulled back, his jaws griping the male's neck. He pinned the pit bull to the ground, eighty pounds of muscle on top of the pet. He wisely placed himself so that the pit couldn't lash out with his claws at him. The American dog couldn't do anything as the Russian asserted he was boss.
"Be carevul vhat you do Shorrrty, you might end up in far vorse situations." he whispered menacingly. The pet wasn't moving, his eyes wide with terror. Aleksey let him go and sauntered proudly and elegantly away, leaving the pit bull to find his owner again. He had ended up near a beautiful boardwalk, who gave on the ocean. The colourful sunset streaked the skies with oranges and yellows, with pinks and purples mixing in. He walked onto the boardwalk, ignoring the humans. He lay down at the end of it, his long pillars bending under him. He sat there, licking his maw from the few specks of blood. When his muzzle was clean again, he lay his head on his paws.

the mix slink-ed her way through the mess of humans that came fourth from the shadows; as for Daphne, she stayed closer towards the shadows, her fur merely brushing the sides of the wall as if it were comforting in some obscene way. as she did this, a house pet wandered past, its stocky build indicated i was none other than a pit bull, his eyes locked to her gaze, but he said nothing. she could feel it too; his emotions. a vibe of terror wrapped around his very soul. Daphne dropped her gaze, she didn't want the same menace to attack her, but then again; she had a doubt in her mind that this thing would attack her.
the crackled beneath her feet seemed to be the outside of a candy bar, the writing she couldn't understand, some form of human language of course. but the sound seemed so much more significant in the dead silence. ' ohmy. ' she said, worried slightly as she felt slightly paranoid. perhaps today wasn't the day to sit around and hide, and with that, she made her way into the sunlight. almost immediately had her paw touched ground to something a little rougher, wood. the scene her eyes took in now, was quite amazing- the sun gleamed upon a board walk like a god had layed it there for her to walk on. its only flaw? well, humans sprawled all over it. but no matter, Daphne went on with her own life. dodging the humans attempting to make it to the end.
" hey look mommy, a doggy can i touch it?" asked a little boy, his red balloon tied to his wrist as he pointed to Daphne. her tail slightly wagged, until the mother opened her mouth, and words slithered out. " ugh; of course not Bryce look at the state of that mongrel !" Daphne snarled a little, and the little boy looked at her sadly, and continued walking. I'm not filthy; am i? she asked herself. don't let it get me, don't let it get me she repeated in her mind, and finally, the stretch of wood ended, and upon it was a large dog, a mix for sure.
oh I'm sorry, am i bothering you? she asked, stopping dead in her tracks as the vibe of terror filled her again. it died quickly, this canine was no threat, no threat if she was none to him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://wimg.co.uk/wUa.png][scrolly:h(196),w(420),sy] The sun gleamed onto the chocolate beast comfortably settled onto the end of the pier, who's eyes were locked on the terrorized pit bull on the road behind him. The pet still looked shaken and scared, and when a labrador mix passed by, he seemed to communicate his emotions with the golden stray. Aleksey's warm occuli rested on the ocean once more, he knew he held no regret to what he did to the pit. He would heal, and will have had a lesson that might keep him out of trouble in the future. His ears flicked back when he heard the pawsteps on the beginning of the pier, but he was still annoyed enough not to want to go see.
The humans walked around him with a curious expression, wondering possibly what breed he could be. It didn't seem that a lot of these Americans knew what a Russian Wolfhound was. He probably looked like a mix to them. It was a curious truth he wasn't, and as the greyhound-profiled stray sat there wondering, a bunch of teenagers approached. He was immediatly wary of their arrogant, trouble-makers looks. He got up, using his tall body to his advantage, pulling his ears back threateningly and tensing his muscles, showing off his power. They seemed to hesitate, he was after all almost waist-high for these youngsters. His jaws parted, white ivories reflecting the fading sunlight.
Alek's tail remained high and confident as the teens went to look for a less confident looking prey. He lay down in the sphynx position again, salmon tongue lolling effortlessly on the side in slight pant, his curly fur not helping to cool him down. He was made for the freshness of the Russian steppe, not the blistering heat of the south. Yet, he couldn't do much about it, so he would have to deal with it.
The floppy ears moved backwards again as he heard another dog's pawsteps near him. By the scent, it was a female, so he looked around to see the labrador mix he'd seen earlier. She seemed frightened as she spoke, as though he might seem like a threat to her. It died down though it seemed after a few seconds, and his eyes turned slightly curious. "No, no, you are not bothering me. It is a place forrr everybody here." his deep accented voice ringing through the air as he said this, his Russian origin heavy on his words. It could make him hard to understand, yet he hoped she didn't mind too much.
The female before him was a shade of light golden, looking a lot like a Labrador yet different, a mix. He looked like a mix himself except to the dogs and people who knew his breed. He smiled at her, an invitation to friendly interaction. He did like to make good impressions, and he sat up, freeing some space for her on the end of the pier. "It is a nice sunset no?" he asked, gesturing with his head toward the horizon, wondering if he had gotten the phrasing right. It was very difficult to know what was the sense of the what he was saying. He waited for her to move or say something as he wrapped his tail around his legs.
