Anywho, this tutorial is a bit about how to make a regular [ non-scrolling ] posting table. _______________________ For those of you who don't know what a posting table is, here is a very quick tutorial... version... summary thing. So, a posting table is pretty much what it sounds like. It's a table used when you post. This is the most simple, and most commonly used when posting. It's pretty simple. A basic table is about 500px in width, but generally can be any width like 450px or 400px. From my experience 450px or 500px is the best for width, but it depends on the site it's used on. Now there's the header, background, color, and footer. The header is the direct url to the image used for the header. In this example, the headerurl is this. This part is pretty self explanatory. It's the header of your post, so your text won't overlap this. It can be any height really, but you don't want to make it too big. The background image is generally a very small image. Whatever width by a small height, like 20px. The reason is, this part is the image that goes behind your text, it repeats, kind of like a pattern. If you used something like an image or text, whenever you finished the actual text, your background image could get cut off, which is why it should be simple and plain. Now the color, also self explanatory. For a list of hex colors you can check places like the Web Color Chart, Hexadecimal Color Generator, or the Hex Hub HTML Color Codes. All of them work fine. The footerurl is just like the header, only it goes in the footers! Now, the header and footer height don't matter, but you don't want to make it too big. See this posting table? The header is larger with the image while the footer only has the copyrights. It can be flipped with the image on bottom and the name/lyrics/copyrights/whatever on top, for example, here. So really, it depends on your own preference. If you guys have any questions or anything of the sort, I'll happily answer them in an E-mail, PM, message, chatbox, whatever suits you best. If you'd like to ask here, feel free to do so, but let it be known this thread was made specifically for testing a posting table [ mind you, if it doesn't work, you can just edit it rather than make a new post, but that's optional ]. As for the code, it would be easiest to simply quote this post for the code. Now... the first link you see will be the headerurl, the second link is the backgroundurl, and the last is the footerurl. In between there are two blockquotes and a font resize. The blockquote helps keep the text within the text box [ you didn't think it automatically recognized there was a box made by an image did you? ], so it's best if those stay, but the size does not matter [ though personally, I think it looks pretty ]. Also note, the color of links stays the same, so it might look ugly in your posting table. Make note to change the link colors when you do. Lastly, the PT WIDTH is the full WIDTH of the ENTIRE table. This means, ALL images: header, body, and footer should be the same width, but don't have to be the same height. If you're a bit confused, here is a [ quick ] image tutorial of how to split up the images [at least the background image ]. A shorter version, maybe more helpful [ I wouldn't know ] can be found here. Lastly, as a last example, here is what I used for: header, background, and footer. Please realize I'm linking you these images for an example, do not steal them! You and I won't have a problem if they're not stolen. Nonetheless, good luck on your posting table! Practice makes perfect. ^-^

Q. When did you first start making posting tables? A. I dunno. ._. Maybe a year ago? A little more or less... I don't even remember.
Q. What was your first posting table? A. Like I remember.
Q. Can you write a tutorial on scrolling posting tables? A. That would be so much more complicated. Nonetheless, I probably will later... some day... when I'm bored and have nothing else to do.
Q. What about a video tutorial? A. Been trying, but it keeps not saving for some reason. I'm planning on doing a full-length record next time rather than splitting it up. Hopefully that will work and you guys can see what I do all the way through.
Any other questions may be asked, anyone can answer. I'll add it here nonetheless.

I absoloutly loved post table things but had no clue how to make them. You explained it very clearly too, I made mine in like an hour or so. ^^!!!
Have any tips/suggestions for a newbie table maker? Any crtiques on this one I made, what do you think? I like it for the most part. ^^ thanks for this again! -katniss

I think it looks good, especially for your first one! ^-^ The text looks great, and I don't know if this was on purpose or not, but I love how there's a slight glow around the dog. The only suggestion I really have is that my preference is possibly lower the opacity of the blue? Or maybe change the blue to the blue that's in the sky or a lighter black? It seems to pop out in a way that it doesn't exactly fit in. I think the tan from the dog/cloud might look good too. :3
