name: Ebony
pronunciation: EB-ON-EY
age: 2 and a half years
gender: female
breed: Black tri Australian shepherd
appearance: Ebony has three colours that make up her pelt; deep Black, milky white and then finally dark brown. She has white running up from her belly to her face, where she then has a thick strip running down the middle of her petite snout, covering most of it in a snowy blanket. White socks, tip of the tail and one white ear tip complete the white parts of her body. Like any other black Aussie, she has brown stockings on her hind legs and front right leg, and two brown dots, placed just above her warm chocolaty eyes.
personality: Ebony is quiet, apprehensive and untrusting. It will often take a lot to get her to trust anyone, and even longer for her to start relaxing around them. Ebony has been like this since she was a child, so she didn't have many friends; and that has made her social skills limited. she doesn't know how to react properly in certain situations, and can sometimes come off as a little uncaring, but she does care about other people; very much so in fact, as she would help anyone who asked for it- even those who mock her. Once someone gets to know her, and she starts trusting them, Ebony can be a happy person who enjoys company. Ebony is shy, and hardly ever speaks up. If someone were to have got something wrong about her, she would either let it slide or very quietly point out the fact; secretly hoping that they wouldn't get mad or be offended.
history: Ebony started life in the pound; her mother was a street dog who was captured by dog wardens while pregnant, and had given birth to Ebony while staying there. she never knew her father. After a few while, Ebony's mum was put down and she was put up for sale. after a few long months she got adopted by a couple and their young daughter, who were ecstatic about getting a new puppy. the little girl took care of Ebony; feeding her daily and playing with her every couple of hours. It was a good life. But soon the novelty wore off, and the little girl started neglecting Ebony by not feeding or grooming her. Of course, Ebony was sad and depressed, so one day in July she ran away.
She lived on the streets from then on, raiding bins and keeping clear of people. She managed to live okay for bit, but due to her , then , kind and trusting nature she was strung along by a dog who told her he loved her; only to be left injured and alone. She now doesn't trust many people, and it takes a while for her to even become comfortable around anyone.
