Frosty. 406. for Bronx. Some pictures are worth a thousand words, but attached are a thousand lies.Paws thudded along the ground as the white German shepherd ran cheerfully. She slowed into a trot, tail wagging to and fro. It was amazing it could be so goddamn hot, and one could be so optimistic about it. Sure, the sun was bearing down over the place, but there was nothing wrong with that. If she wouldn't let rain ruin her parade, why should heat have that right? Or.. something like that.
She walked up to the water's edge. Lowering her muzzle, she lapped at the cool water. Caramel brown orbs glanced around, checking that no other dogs or creatures were near. She stepped deeper into the water, dwelling in cool feeling she felt on her paws. After taking another step deeper, she laid down.
A sigh escaped her muzzle as she paid her head on her paws. She felt loneliness weigh heavily on her heart. Roping it, chained it, and weighing down, as if trying to drown her in mental pain. It had been months since she had actually talked to anyone. You hardly see anyone in the winter anyways.
Frosty had always been one to like the company of others. Well, not like, more like love. She cherished it. Was it odd for a stray? Yes, but she didn't care. Some other dogs found her annoying, but she was okay with that, not everyone can be perfect. Others glanced at her as if she was obsessed with company. But the question is, was she obsessed? You could say that. Many canines had already done so.
She absent mindedly pondered about what Jax would be doing about this moment. He was supposed to be her companion. Her mentor for acting. Of course, she wasn't quite interested in that, but if that's what Jax had wanted, and what got her a friend, she was cool with that. A small smile formed along her maw as she thought about her goofy friend. He made her optimism seem like she was cursing at the world.
Shaking her head, Frosty sat up. She watched the disturbed water ripple and sway from the movement she made to ruin it's still form. She glanced around, ears pricked. Oh, how she wished for some sort of form of company. Hell, she'd probably be able to find contentment in a cat, of all things. She shrugged, standing up. Company was company, she wouldn't complain.

Bronx wandered slowly through the area as the day dragged on. Sure he was white and had a short, short coat, but the heat still got to him. Stopping once in a while for shade, his tongue lolled heavily from the side of his mouth, the drool running down it every couple of minutes and making him lick his chops. His nose was cold but he was getting thirsty and found himself relieved to find out that he would soon be at Lake Wilderness. His ears stood erect on his head as they always did, happy to listen to all the sounds that surrounded him.
His large paws moved slowly and his tail wagged from side to side as he continued forward. 'At least I can work on my tan...' He thought to himself and chuckled happily. He was glad that it was not winter and he would rather put up with the hot every day of his life than try and cope in the cold for even ten minutes. It made sense though, with a coat like his, what dog wanted to deal with winter?
Bronx was a large dog and heavily muscled. Bigger than dogs of his breed normally came and still only a year and a half old, he was growing still. His bone frame was huge and powerful and he looked menacing. His cropped ears added to the affect and even when his long tail wagged, he did not look like someone you would want to run into. He never understood that about himself and while he was not afraid to throw his weight around and show another dog who was boss, he would honestly rather be a smaller dog, he often decided. At least then he didn't have to worry about scaring other canines off...
His hazel eyes scanned the area as he picked up on a new scent, a female. He did not see her and figured she had had the same idea as him and gone to the lake. He smiled his toothy grin to himself and moved ahead a little bit faster. He enjoyed company and hoped that maybe she would talk to him and be in a good mood, even though it was probably one of the hottest days so far this year. His tail wagged faster and he shook his head as he found himself getting closer and the smells of water and dog getting stronger. The drool that had been all around his muzzle was now gone and he found himself quite excited to meet a new friend.
As he made his way into the new area he first stopped to take in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings. His eyes brightened and he looked around quickly before charging the water. His massive legs pushed himself faster than it seemed he could move and he dove immediately into the water, cooling his entire body on contact. He went under and remained for a few seconds as the cold surrounded his body and took out the sting the sun had been burning onto his back. He did not move but remained still before giving too huge kicks of his hind legs and emerging.
His forepaws broke the water before his head came up as he pulled himself up and paddled his way back to the shore, taking in a large gulp of water to quench his thirst as he did so. His tail wagged under the water and as his paws touched the sand and his dull claws dug in he remembered there was supposed to be another dog there. Glancing around he soon spotted her, all white like he, but with much longer fur than he had. 'Well she looks prepared for winter, but summer just doesn't seem to be her thing...' He chuckled as he thought this to himself then lowered his head and called out to her. "Hey there!" He smiled softly, trying to show he was no threat.
Bronx moved happily toward her, glad that he did not run into a male today. Usually male dogs were harder to get along with anyway and on hot days like this one, they would be much more likely to be in a grumpy mood and try to fight him. He had enough scares for that young of a dog and refused to obtain anymore anytime soon. He would wait for a while before he decided to get himself into trouble with another dog to end up with more scares, unless he felt obliged to. As he approached the female the male stopped, leaving a good distance between them to once again prove he was friendly and did not wish to get into anything. His large grin flashed, but he did not show his teeth as he waited to see what she would do.

Frosty. 452. for Bronx. Some pictures are worth a thousand words, but attached are a thousand lies. Frosty's ears pricked toward the sky, catching a scent of a male. Her muscles stiffened momentarily, her emotions split between weary and excitement. Weary? Well, new dogs always meant you had to be cautious, seeing as how not all were friendly. Excitement? Possibly a new friend, either way a new dog was company. Her eyes flicked about, looking for sight of him. She figured he was under the trees, hidden within the shade.
Her head whipped around when the brute charged into the water. She had been looking else where, and she had not expected for him to come from the opposite direction. In her moment of surprise, she bit back a bark of surprise. She stood up, her eyes scanning the water for the large creature. He had went under, that much she knew. He had to come up sometime or another, he'd run out of oxygen in a moment if he didn't resurface.
She watched him silently as he swam back to the shore. Should she say something? She should at least make her presence noticed to the male if he hadn't already seen her, or caught her scent. But something stopped her, putting her on edge. The creature was huge compared to she. White, yes, with shorter hair. He seemed young, but his size was much larger then her own, muscled heavily along his body. Her ears flicked back nervously, attempting to decipher his breed. Whatever it was, it was beyond her, she had seen nothing like him. Though she must note her history with wide range of dogs were slim.
Her stomach clinched in anxiety as she felt his gaze reach her. Okay, so, he had noticed her. She had to say something or all Hell could break loose. She doubted that it would happen, for he didn't seem aggressive. But a nagging feeling in her gut told her to be careful. 'Hey there!' She wagged her tail gently, returning the no threat motion. She dipped her head slightly in greeting, taking a hesitant step forward. "Hello," she replied, her mouth relaxed in the stage just before a grin.
Frosty made herself stay put as he moved toward her. She couldn't help but note the way his muscles rippled with every movement. Her gaze lingered on the scars that laid on his body every so often, proving his past fights. But she couldn't judge, though she was no fighter, she wasn't a saint. Living on the street guaranteed some battle scars of some sort. She turned her gaze back to his eyes. A small smile played on her lips, "My name's Frosty. If I may ask, what's yours?" [/b][/color][/blockquote] Zomgg. Dx I'm soo sorry it took forever to reply. And for the fact the reply failed. majorly.
