Thick timbers lifted, before falling once more to the earths blanketed surface. The muffled sound of last years decaying leaves crunched beneath thickly padded paws. Muscles bunched then sprang free in an endless dance beneath a short coarse pelt of rich red mahogany, an 'arrow' of opposite facing fur spanning the length of his spine could be seen, signature to his breed. A splash of white stained the expanse of a wide deeply set chest. Further up that mug was found to be dusted with an ashen color about the muzzle and brightening the pure sparkling gold of a steady bold gaze. From behind that long whipcord of a tail found itself swaying to the steady paw falls as the brute continued moving through the woods.
Folded soldiers found themselves tilted forward, alert. It wasn't often this cowboy found himself wandering the pathways of the forest, or any wilderness for that matter. Not that he was out of place, no far from it actually. This canine had a knack for being completely at home no matter his surroundings. Still today found the beast moving quietly through the seemingly empty tree bedecked terrain, partaking in one of his most cherished past times. Exploration. Occasionally that coal tipped muzzle would drop pushing through a particularly strange smelling pile of something indistinguishable beneath the thick layer of leaves.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d146/---Kirstie---/skepticbottom.png][scrolly:h(179),w(420),sy] The sly Border Collie crept through the forest. There were stocky timbers and leaves scattered around the clearing. The she grimaced in disgust, this place smelled like a deceased animal who was slowly decaying into nothingness. The dog rotated her orbs and gazed around, looking at her surroundings. This place was quite alluring, with it's rustic leaves and calm breeze..but she felt as if she couldn't stay here.. as if something would happen. The dog then paused, scenting another canine.. a male. Curious to who he was, she followed the musky scent. It lead her to a slightly visible trail where the scent was overtaking hers. "Holy shit, he has a strong scent." the fae thought to herself, wrinkling her nose in disgust. Then, in the distance, she saw a brown dog. She could barely make him out for her blended in with the scenery quite well. Carefully, trying not to be seen, the fae snuck up closer and closer, seeing that this dog was big. He has an muzzle that looked like it had been torched and ears that were identical. "Hello." the fae barked quietly, her alto voice ringing through the forest.
Who was this dog? Did he have a mate, pups, family? The fae shook her head, trying to shut herself up. That happened alot, she always would tell herself to be quiet, like she had no control or something. Looking at him more closely, she could see he has really handsome eyes. They were a dark brown, like a mocha. It was really nice. It was so nice the fae couldn't help but keep staring. |
