His deep chest expanded slowly to lapse back in it's thinnest form, breathing in the sweet familiar parfume emanating from the fae beside him. Her presence was a pleasure on the inside and out, her voice charming his ears and her scent tickling his nostrils. He sensed her, so close, closer than anyone else had ever been. His cranium dropped to the crashing waves. He noticed vaguely the waves seemed to want to suck him right into the open water, but his thoughts were elsewhere.
The beautiful smile crept slowly to her lips, he couldn't help but smile also. The tenderly repeated word was music to his acute hearing, which seemed to be coming back after his confusion left him. Indeed, the confusion seemed to be blocking out everything except the source of his confusion, wanting him to deal with it. Skyler looked simply stunning in the picture, as if a master painter had decided to represent an angel. Well, he couldn't have done a better job. Aleksey's silky fur ondulated in the marine breeze as he looked out into the horizon again.
His almond eyes returned to the spotted fae, noticing she seemed to hesitate, he cocked his head to one side, an invitation to explanation, understanding. The hesitant phrase, sent into the air with a smile and a shake of her head, cleared his questioning. A smile stretched his lips as he gave the simple answer. "Why not start by the beginning?" he said, stepping closer to her. She met his nuzzle half-way, sending a thrill down his spine, and burried her neck in his mane of fur chocolate and alabaster fur. moving his head sideways without breaking their embrace, he rubbed his nose to the top of her head, smiling at the advantage a long neck was.
"I was born in Russia, four years ago, to a great family of Russian Wolfhounds. I loved my mother and father, the human who took care of us and my siblings, and I had a happy life. I played in the steppe, became what my breed was supposed to be; hunting dogs. The human taught me to hunt, in a pack and alone sometimes, and we went to places all over Russia to compete in hunting competitions. One day we were at a thing called a hotel, where you stay for short periods. They're like homes outside of home. A man came into our room and picked me up. I admit I didn't think much of it at the time. He brought me into his car and dumped me on the side of the road a few hours later." he said, following up on his previous declaration. "I have been on the road ever since, but I was lucky in my life I think, especially at this moment." he added, murmuring in her ear, nuzzling her softly and glad that all the barriers were down.

She listened all the way through, training it to memory and reciting it in her head then smiling slightly and looking at the sea before them. "Aleksey, you have such an interesting history." She moved her head slightly towards him, before pressing the length of her body to his.
Our Skyler thought about her past, how she was to share her story. It wasn't glamorous. It didn't take place in a beautiful, exotic nation, no stunning games or hotels. No siblings, no humans. No loving parents. Her past haunted her with the grunge of city streets. She came from a courtesan, a whore. She was supposed to die, to be born dead. It followed her like a rain cloud, a heavy burden, she was nothing more then her mother, that's how she had always felt. It felt too haunting to tell, like the words couldn't form correctly and prove she was dirt.
Aleksey. So soft, so wiry and quick, handsome. Exotic. Standing beside him, she felt the hurt she always had about her breed. She was boring, white with spots. All dalmatians had spots, all of them were her size, had her face and legs and tongue and ears. She was a doppelganger, annoying.
Aleksey, smooth and brilliant, he had proved himself outgoing and selfless, yet she lived by stealing scraps and skulking around corners, avoiding the eyes of outsiders.
"I have nothing to talk about, Alek. You wouldn't want to hear it." She turned away slightly, stepping into the water and glancing back at him, then turning to face him, feeling her mood dropping. She started walking along the shore, the water coming half way up her legs. She knew he'd follow.

Yet, even strays were lucky in their own way. One might be lucky for having escaped being hit by a car, others it would be finding a trash can outside of a restaurant. Aleksey personally thought he had had a pretty lucky life in general, and wouldn't have it any other way. The smile blossomed onto his lips at Skyler's words, features soft as she pressed her body to his. He listened to their beating hearts in the night, although he knew his didn't belong to him anymore, but to Sky. She had captured it, and he knew it would stay that way until they died.
He noticed the change in the pretty damsel's mood, the air sudenly became sad. He somehow knew that she was now thinking about her own past, and he guessed it musn't have been a happy time. He nuzzled her compassinately, feeling her hurt and her sadness. He slapped himself internally for having brought the subject up. He should have realised that some dogs hadn't had the life he had. Alek looked over at the ocean, then back at sky, admiring her sleek white silhouette. He had seen some others of the same breed as Sky, but not much, and even if he saw the similarities, Skyler was by far the most unique and the prettiest of the lot.
He looked at her delicate features, which befitted her, the ones that made her so different from the rest of them, and searched his memories for the bloodline in vain. His face became softer as she spoke. "It's okay. We can start fresh. The past is the past, it has led us to where we are now, and that's it. Now, we can carry on, trace the path of the future." he said, Russian coating his words. The phrases revealed the philosophical part of him, the deep thinker.
She turned away slightly and walked into the waves before facing him again. He smiled a reassuring smile although he knew her mood was going toward sadness. He hoped that by smiling, it would cheer her up slightly, lighten the atmosphere that had grown heavy. She started walking up the shore, and he followed in his light graceful steps. He caught up with her but not knowing what to say, he kept silent. But silence was okay to him, sometimes words were unecessary. He followed her, contrite about having made her sad and wondering what to do to cheer her up again.
