[shadow=1B1C1C,left,3000]Davina[/shadow] Limbs pranced nimbly through the rolling grassy field the humans had designated as a 'dog park'. An interesting concept, at least here if there was a human or two around she could run without fear of having the dog catcher called on her. A situation that was never pleasant, at least for the silly humans who were foolish enough to give chase. At the moment her blue merled form could be found reclining beneath one of several scattered trees. A slight chill in the breeze threaten with the coming winter, a hardship for any creature on the streets.
For humans if they were not lucky enough to find enough clothing to keep themselves warm they would freeze to death. She had to admit that canines faired better in such situations, at least they had a natural source of warmth, and her pelt happened to be long and thick. When it came to food though, they were on the same level. Each species rummaging, stealing, or scavenging whatever left overs the more fortunate discarded. The dogs living in the wilds surrounding the city, had the added struggle of hunting. All in all winter tended to cull the weakest on the streets, some sooner then others.
Vina just so happen to excel at such challenges, which is how she looked at every day of life. A new challenge to master. Her life story might have destroyed some, and made others laugh,as for the Aussie, she simply survived. Raising to meet each day with a renewed hope that often seemed so extinguished in others. Jaws would part in a lazy yawn. Limbs sifting while her weight was thrown into a roll, easily getting to her paws the fae drifted towards a sunny patch, where she promptly collapsed in the spilling warmth of the suns golden rays. It was a lazy day...

It sure was a lovely day. Summer trotted eagerly through the widespread park, smiling at the squishy sound of her paws falling lightly against the soft grass. Her eyes travelled upwards to the tall trees with their golden, brown and auburn coloured leaves. Some had already fallen, and she stepped onto them just to hear the wonderful crunch. Oh, how she loved Autumn.
She then caught the scent of another dog, and spotted a strange Australian Shepherd with a coat of silver and clouded grey. She looked peaceful enough, but Summer being the shy dog she is, kept a safe distance. She knew the dog probably didn't mean any harm whatsoever; the Shiba just wasn't to keen on conversation. Especially with stray dogs. Of course, she was happy she was now a stray, and out of that cruel home and cruel family. She really didn't deserve that. And being abandoned? Well, before, it'd shattered her fragile little heart, but now ... now she only has anger and hatred towards those wretched humans. She didn't need them anymore.
So, she continued happily walking through the trees lazily, paying no mind to the random humans. They had their own lives, no need to interfere with her's, and there was no need for her to interfere with their's. So far, this new life was going okay. It wasn't great, it wasn't perfect, but ... it was decent. Being alone was starting ot get to her a little, but she wasn't one to trust easily either.

[shadow=1B1C1C,left,3000]Davina[/shadow] A momentary shift in the breeze brought another's scent. Some may have been annoyed to have their quiet afternoon interrupted, not the oddly marled fae whose narrow skull lifted upright. Blacken pits flaring while that muzzle rose skyward inhaling deep the scents dancing on the winds. A plethora of scents teased their way along sensitive membranes, nearly bringing about a sneeze. Ahh a female.. The scent told her among other little tidbits while shards of sparkling gold peer about the sparsely occupied park. Off in the distance obviously purposely skirting her lounging form would be the copper canine whose step held a brisk sort of happiness.
Well now, what a delightful change of events.. By no means was this Shepard shy. Courage ran thicker through her veins then blood, or at least thats what her father had playfully accused her of back... before. Of course the courage had since been tempered by the cruelty of life, making her a bit more thoughtful in the process. The fluid movement that forced muscles into sudden action had the fae raising from the sun warmed earth to pursue the other. Instead of a direct route the Aussie twisted round skirting the other female carefully. If all goes to plan she'd remain undetected in this particular endeavor until she came round in front of the fae plopping her rump down square in the others path some 50 yards dawn the path.
Upon first appearance it would seem only one ear was thrust forward to stand at a floppy attention while the other remained twisted back. Though closer inspection would reveal the truth of the matter, the bulk of her right ear was missing, the tattered ends nearly concealed by the lengths bespeckled fur. Warm whiskey held a friendly light, echoed by the welcoming smile gracing blacken lips. From between lengths of ivory that pinken muscle fell free panting slightly with the unexpected excursion. Cranium pivoted atop is short slender pillar before a voice of liquid sunshine rang out across the distance reaching for the others attention. "Good afternoon.!!" Remaining were she was least she frighten the other Vina studied the other canine with unchecked curiosity in her smiling gaze.

Sniffing eagerly at the ground with her dainty little nose, the contended Shiba continued to softly breathe in the fresh, warm scents of the season. Chocolate orbs wide in wonder and joy; curved tail wagging in simple sweet pleasure. It'd been a while since she'd felt so at peace ... the park was just so very lovely and serene. The breeze felt warm and soothing as it gently tugged at her golden fur. But, very suddenly, her small triangular ears quickly sprang upwards at the voice of another.
"Good afternoon!" the voice barked in friendly greeting. Summer turned, her curiosity fully aroused. About 50 odd yards away, sitting on her rump, was that unknown Shepherd, with the speckled coat of silver and clouded grey. The shiba couldn't help but to notice how one of her silky ears was folded back, while the other sat upwards, flopping slightly. But the cheerful smile spread gracefully upon her speckled jaws and glistening black lips eased Summer's nerves, and she found herself smiling back. Her tail wagged from side to side in responce as she yapped a friendly reply.
Greetings, stranger!
