{bestowed the name ZEPHYR}
{seeing the stars a large FOUR YEARS}
{best looking FEMALE you've ever seen}
{show breed NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVER, nothin' else}
........................................................
{THE ANGEL OPENS HER EYES}
For my breed, I am thin. But a beautiful, lithe and graceful thin, without being unhealthy. I stand at around 18 inches, with longer legs then necessary. All parts of my body are evenly porportioned, so looking goofy isnt one of my key settings.
I like to think that I am beautiful. I have long, always well groomed orange fur, with a blaze of white on the top of my head and my chest, white covered toes, and the very tip of my tail is cream. My ears are folded, like a golden retriever, but a little longer. My eyes are almond-shaped, as said by those breeders' words that I've picked up here and there. Almond-shaped and a delicious, dark chocolate color.
My body is perfect for running and swimming, but I have never tried swimming and Im sure Im not good at it. I love to run though, because when I run I feel like I can fly.
{THE CONFUSION SETS IN}
Im a day dreamer. The world around me can be easily forgotten when Im doing simple things like walking or eating. I just trail off, and then Im stuck in a fantasy world until I almost get run over and run into something. Im kind of clumsy, even though my body itself is graceful. I dont talk alot, and I try to stay away from others. Especially humans.
Besides being timid, and overly fearful, I tend to be puppy-like when Im alone, pouncing here and there and wagging my tail and bouncing around alot. Im like a secret child. I guess Im sweet, loving even. Whether or not I will show this is up to who I meet along the way. I can be rather short though, short minded or have a short patients. I dont like confrontation, so I try to hurry any conversations before they turn bad. I try to think differently then other dogs. Try to view the world in larger eyes and smell the flowers or see the sky more often then some one else. It makes me more observent, so I can easily find a quick escape or see something they dont that will allow me greater advantage later.
{BEFORE THE DOCTOR CAN EVEN CLOSE THE DOOR}
Of all the girls to pick on, you chose me? Your in for a treat mister. Well, I can't say my past was all pleasant flowers and golden butterflies, but I can say it had its little moments in the sun. Of course, with every mutt you see roaming these streets, there's a good spook behind his eyes that give him a wild look. With every verment canine, theres a sad sad story to be told. Abuse, neglect, torture, abandonment. Maybe even some more. But you dont want to hear about another dogs life, of course. So lets begin.[/size]
Well, like every living creature. I was born. Simple enough, right? Nothing to it. Pop, theres a pup, well, three. My brother Bone, Max my sister, and me. Obviously my mother was there too. My father was a hit and run, knocked her up then disapeared. Most all males do that, really I hoped to find one that wouldnt. But hes not important, so back to story time.
My littermates and I were strong from the start, opened our eyes at the perfect time, were walking within weeks of birth, just as if we were born in a house with those stinky human things. Mum had it easy, compared to other pups born outside a fence. She was teaching us within weeks of birth, obviously it was alittle difficult to teach three pups who are just learning to walk and wanting to use their new-found voices also. But, she made it easily. Quite rough, when I think back to it.
By the time we had reached five or six months, mum was looking tipsy. She didn't act normal for a few days, always stumbling and crouched low. We didn't know why, until a week after we thought she was back to normal she disapeared all together. She had left us for an hour to get some food or to search the area for water, and poof, she was gone. Didn't return. I can say with honesty we were completely scared. What were we supposed to do? She was gone, and we knew we had to move on. Thats what she would have wanted us to do, so we did.
All three pups wondered around the city for days and days, scavenging off garbage and litter wherever we could get it. After a while, we were looking worse and worse then if mum had of been there. We were having trouble taking care of eachother, until one day I woke up and both my siblings were gone. They had just left when I was sleeping, apparently. I didn't think much of it, just thought they were off to get some breakfast. Until, of course, I didn't see them again.
I started off on my own, going off of what mum had taught us before she vanished. It was just another thing in life, before I met the humans. Well, really came into contact with the gangly, fleshy creatures. I was out scavenging in a trash-can when suddenly something grabbed me up, a few loud voices cooed and awed, then I was in some musty house sitting in a box. I whined all the time, and the voices grew silent, except for a few groans here and there, until finally they got sick of me after three days and then dumped me off at a four-way cross road in the middle of the desert. That was after they kicked me a few times though. I played dead, so they just dumped my body off. I fell asleep, then woke up the next day too hungry and parched to stay in one place. So I moved on, and grew up better then most strays, but still effected by my too-long experience with the human kind.
