A black and white pelt trotted quietly through the trees. Light brown eyes darted across the landscape, ears pricking at the slightest sound. Darker was out of her element. Her element was farms, around sheep, cattle, horses, pigs, chicken and anything else you can think of....not the wild. Maybe running away was a bad idea. she thought, stopping as the forest thinned to reveal a beautiful lake.
The female border collie's eyes scanned the lakeshore for any signs of humans or other dogs...nothing so far. "It's no use. I'm lost!" she said to herself. The lake was serene and peaceful, not a thing rippled its glassy surface. Thirst knawed at Darker so she slunk up to the Lake, bending her head to lap up the cold water.
Her stomach growled, but the Border Collie had no hunting skills what so ever and she was far from a town. If she didn't find food soon, Darker would starve.

Blizzard VI
Down below the trees a dog was making her way through the foliage. Her ears were pricked a little for the sound of water. She was very thirsty and hadn't drank anything for a while. It wasn't that she was lost in this dense forest... It was just that she had been busy in the streets of a nearby city finding food to eat. Although, it may have been smarter to try and find food in the forest since finding it in the city was slightly more difficult than hunting. Here you just found a nice rabbit or squirrel, stalk it for a little while, then you leap out at them and then you had dinner. Quite easy, if you knew how to hunt.
Lifting her nose into the air, Blizzard VI scented the water. It was only a short distance away. Soon, the trees ended and she had a clear view of the life giving liquid... but she also saw something else. Blizzard squinted and walked closer and immediately knew it was another dog drinking at the lake. A Border Collie by the looks of her. Hmm, that was odd... Border Collies usually preferred to stay near humans and farm animals, from her experience. Well, maybe this one had decided to try something different... she didn't know. Either way it went though she should go up and speak to her.
Blizzard trotted forward and dipped her muzzle to the water and lapped up the cool water. It may have seemed like the German Shepherd was ignoring the other dog but in all reality she wasn't. Her clever dark brown eyes watched the other dog for any signs of aggression. However, she didn't see any and figured her safe enough. After a nice long drink Blizzard lifted her head and eyed the other dog thoughtfully before speaking. "Hello, there. Nice to see another dog out here, I thought I was the only in this area." Blizzard shook her head, scattering small drops of water that clung to her muzzle. "So what brings you to this lovely forest?
