name: Davina
pronunciation: duh - veen - uh
alias: Vina
age: 4 Years
gender: Female
breed: Australian Shepherd
appearance:
A slender skull bore folded ears with dignity, despite the gap in the right that when it shifted revealed its secret. A little less then half remain, the edges were tattered as if the chunk had been ripped free. Sloping shoulders and a wide chest enabled this fae to move with both speed and agility. Beneath a hide that gleamed with a soft cloudy grey flecked liberally with various tones of blue tinted black were muscles held in perfect condition. The strength of such attentiveness echoed in the graceful poise lining her frame that was often spoiled by the playful light sparkling in bright amber depths. From a height of twenty seven inches held up by four lean limbs dusted sparingly with earth, she watches the world go by. An amused smirk twisting obsidian lips often held in place even when the situations does not seem to warrant such.
personality:
On the surface this Shepard was courageous, never hesitating in taking that leap. Bold with a seemingly never ending recess of energy she is always up for a challenge. Rarely would one find this dog down in the dumps despite her situation, after all she is a 'the glass is half full' type. Kind-hearted, and gentle with a romantic soul she's often found trying to play match-maker with her friends. She is the type of beast whose always there for her loved ones, a shoulder to lean upon, an ear to listen. Do not get her wrong, spending her entire life on the streets taught her young the harsh reality of life. But you can either laugh or cry about it, she chose to laugh. Due to a cruel prank played by her siblings when she was young she's terrified of loosing what she loves. When she can not account for her loved ones anxiety and panic set in.
history:
Her life started out like any other pup born on the streets. Romping with her siblings under the watchful eye of their loving mother. It was her mother and fathers tale that had sparked the candle of romance in the blue merle's heart, how they met and fell in love. Life separated them for several years but they had found each other in the end. Despite all the trials and broken roads of their lives the had enough determination to find the other and the result were five happy puppies. As the eldest her mother and father often left Davina to watch over her siblings while they went out for food. It was on one such occasion that Davina's life to a dark turn.
Vina had been in the middle of teasing her sister when she noticed the boys were missing. In panic she called for her brothers, and got no reply. Frantically she searched the immediate area, but her lack of courage and her need to protect her two sisters kept her from traveling further. The moment her parents had returned to discover their missing sons they were off. While her sisters waited into their makeshift den, the blue merle sat in stony vigilance in the cold wet rain. Eventually her father returned, completely ignoring Davine while he curled himself around his other daughters deep inside the hallow dug beneath a wood pile. Her attention focused on his form lost in the darkness she never saw the attack coming.
Her mother's fangs had sunk into tender flesh shaking the little form mercilessly before tossing it away from the den entrance. Only once did the pup try to crawl back, only to find her fathers maw ripping through her ear. With a scream of terror and pain they'd flung her away from her home, her life, and everything she had known. It was only the kindness of a homeless man that saved her life. With him she stayed until some men in blue came and took him away leaving her alone once again.
