The dog on the right, with the docked tail is Kuma
"Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of existence."
Name: Kuma (means bear in Japanese)
Pronunciation: koo-muh
Alias: Bear (only close friends & family)
Age: 3 years
Gender: Female
Breed: American Akita x Boxer mix
Height: 28 inches
Weight: 109 lbs
Appearance:
Kuma is a rather large dog. She is well-fed, not underweight, nor overweight. Her face looks like that of an akita, and so her face resembles a bear. Which was how she got her name, Kuma. Though her face is mainly like an akita, her jowls are large, like a boxer, and the snout is slightly smaller than an akita's snout. Her tail is docked, so it's short. Her ears are natural, so they are floppy. Kuma's build is very muscular. And very box-like, much like a boxer. She has skinny legs and large paws.
Kuma's fur is actually thicker than boxer fur, but it's a little longer than a regular boxer's fur. It's thick, yet short. Her coat markings and colors are common, but beautiful. Her main coat color is a fawn color, a bright orange-ish. She has a black mask. With a white chest, that runs under her belly. White socks on her front paws. And white toes on her hind paws. Kuma's paw pads are bright pink, because her paws are white. Her eyes are dark brown.
Personality:
First Glance; Kuma is very aggressive at first. She'll growl at any dog that she doesn't know. And if an unknown dog is on her territory, she'll really get growly and snarly then. But if she's on their territory, she'll still act more dominant. She has a few social problems, cause she thinks she's in charge of everything. If other dogs don't submit that easily then it looks like Kuma has an enemy. Kuma is a little more friendly with males, though. Usually only aggressive with females.
In Depth; Once you get to know Kuma, she can be sweet. And flirty. She has been known to be very flirty with male friends. But, once you are her friend, she doesn't feel as dominant anymore, she feels that you and her are equal. Kuma is very protective over friends, and pups. Kuma likes to play and swim with friends.
And if there's one thing you should know about Kuma is that she really wants to be a mother.
Overall; This mutt is aggressive and dominant at first. And doesn't have many friends because of this issue. But once you get on Kuma's good side, you can she that she's playful, flirty (with males), protective, and finds her and her friends equal.
History:
In the picture at the top of the bio, you can see the dog on the left by Kuma. That is Kuma's sibling. Kuma was born to a female boxer, and a male akita. With four other siblings. They were all well-cared for in a household owned by a Japanese and German couple. They named the pups unique names of where they came from, some German names, some Japanese names. And Kuma got the name that means bear in Japanese. Kuma always liked her name, and decided to keep it after she ran away.
Kuma, at age two, was curious of what the world was like outside of her backyard. So she dug holes under the fences until she got loose and ran exploring from home. She never intended on staying away from home, she always wanted to go back. But she could never find home. So she stayed out, loving life, and living happily. Kuma always liked puppies, and always wanted to be a mother. She's more kind to new strangers that are males. But aggressive with females. Kuma is wandering the lands, exploring, looking for someone to travel with, and looking for a mate... that would maybe like to have puppies.
