She woke from her deep slumber. Katreese had fallen asleep in a hollowed tree, and it was very comfortable, the dead leaves and soft dirt that lay inside it made it a nice resting place. Though she had slept the day away and wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. Kat walked out into the forest. She practically lived in the Forests, this was where she spent most of her time. Kat Stretched out her lazy limbs and her jaws pared in a way. She started to walk the misty forest floor concealing her black paws. The mist swirled with every silent step she took, and her ears stood erect on her skull cupping any small noise the forest might try to hide from her, her soft amber eyes illuminated the star light which made them sparkle mysteriously and the hues searched for her dinner.
Kat picked up small rustling in the bushed "Too small a noise to be deer....must be....a rabbit" She murmured and stalked forward, but the rabbit bolted off. Kat planted her rump in the grass and pouted I hate fast food she muttered, looks like she would have to get some garbage, ick, no she wanted fresh meat bu that wasn't coming anytime soon tonight was it? Kat stood up her tail waving lighted and moving with her body as she trotted forward. If she couldn't catch a meal, perhaps she would find a friend, that was a much better thing to do than sit down waiting for them to find you.
Kat trotted steadily for a while before her paws got tangled up and she fell tumbling a little bit "oof! Augh darn... I'm clumsy" She said laughing quietly. She sighed sadly, she really wished she had a friend that could laugh with her right now. Just then there was a slight noise that startled the German Sheppard, Katreese jumped to her feet and looked around H-hello? She called out and waited to see if anyone would show themselves. ------------------------------------------------------------ OOC)) Words: 340 Muse: Meh it was ok Theme song: Blue- Eiffel 65 Dog: Kat Thread Status: OPEN TO ALL Notes: Nope :]

The large Dogo Argentino mix had spent most of his afternoon wandering. He had been through most of the city and now decided to head to the forest. He had not left any of the city and human filled areas since his arrival, but decided to change that now. His paws moved slowly today but he was sure his pace would change once he came across the scent of something more... well interesting. It was true, he was bored, but he looked on the bright side, being alone meant more time to think about things, such as life and what was important to him.
As he entered the forest, many new smells immediately filled his nostrils. His ears perked forward, both cropped and set alert on his head. He was much larger than his breed normally was, and quite heavy for a street dog, but it was all muscle. In fact, he was very intimidating to look at and his grin often looked more like a sneer. His teeth were sharp and still quite white in color. He was a younger dog, around the age of a year still, but he was big, obviously having matured faster than usual.
As he stalked forward through the brush and foliage, he heard some rustling in the distance, but did not think much of it. It was probably just a little forest creature, maybe a rabbit or something. His nostrils flared and he made note of all the smells that he took in and his eyes took in all the sites around him. He loved the wilderness, but often found himself too busy or just too lazy to go out and explore and adventure in it. His tail swung softly as he walked and he allowed his tongue to loll in the summer heat. While it was more humid here, he still felt some of the heat against his skin.
Eyes scanned the area and he smelled another dog somewhere in the area. It was a female, older than him, but he did not care to go out and find her immediately. Instead, he would take his sweet time and make his way to her, hoping to find a friend in the fellow canine. As his feet came into a ground mist and slowly disappeared, he became more excited to explore this place and see what it had to offer to him. Suddenly he heard a sharp rustle and took a sharp left turn in response to it. A rabbit. It scattered out from the brush, frightened by something, but not expecting to see him standing there.
It stopped and tried to wheel, but the large male dog snapped down to quick. Bronx lifted his head happily as the rabbit was instantly dead and hung gently from his strong jowls. He shook softly as blood dripped down the side of his muzzle and ran his tongue along the dirty brown fur. The drool from his mouth covered the rabbit as he tossed it up and recaught it, bettering his hold on the creature before continuing on. As he stepped on a branch and it snapped, his head shot up. A voice called out to him and he knew he must respond before the creature became too worried.
Bronx smiled gently and moved through the foliage and out to where the other dog was. She was quite pretty, a German Shepherd as he believed. She seemed to be a year or so older than Bronx, but he did not mind. He dropped his catch immediately and placed a heavy paw on it, careful not to crush the rabbit beneath his weight. "Hmmm, hello there. I am Bronx." He dipped his head softly and nodded. "Hungry?" He asked as he lifted the rabbit and motioned it toward her. His ears relaxed as did his tail and he moved toward her slowly, lowering his head to prove that he did not wish to harm her.
He then dropped the rabbit, ripping off a hind leg and crushing the bone instantly between his powerful teeth. He dropped to his haunches and peeled the meat from the bone quickly as he devoured the small part of food and took another fur covered chunk of meat from the side of the rabbit before stopping himself. He was not that hungry, but knew he must eat when he could, or it could prove bad when he actually became hungry and could not find food. He smiled gently at the female and allowed his eyes to rest on her.
